New Group Releases Single “Wraparound Porch” – Signs With Buddy Lee Attractions & SB21

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 22, 2013)–The rawkus, retro recording group, Jacob Martin Band, that arrived on the country music scene in a sneak attack to become the “most talked about” cutting edge indie on The Row, has announced its signing with a historic and worldwide talent agency and the release of its debut single “Wraparound Porch” –all within a short four-month stretch.

A musical product derived from an ambitious Craigslist post: “Musician Seeking Band Members,” the four-man band [Jacob Martin (vocals/rhythm guitar), Josh Carlson (drums/background vocals), Jeff Coggins (lead guitar) and Mike Guy (bass/background vocals)] was formed as official in 2011.

Within twelve months of formation, Jacob Martin Band signed with Buddy Lee Attractions for booking representation and moved quickly to make introductions at radio with the release of its debut single entitled “Wraparound Porch” ** on January 7, 2013 (CDX Vol. 561/Jan. 2013/Track 12). Making a grand impression, the single was one of the “Top 10 Most Downloaded” (PlayMPE) at first offering. (Radio promotion is headed up by Marco Promotions and Jerry Duncan Promotions.)

Written by hit-makers Brett James and Ashley Gorley, and produced by powerhouse Jody Stevens (formally of Fast Ryde), “Wraparound Porch” brings to life…the good life–the dreamy simplicity of life in the country with “kids in the yard, ” “a house chocked-full of love,” and watchin’ the sun go down, all from a front porch view. The tune is one of the eight tracks featured on The Jacob Martin Band LP anticipated in early summer.

Jacob Martin Band (JMB) prodigy talents to intrigue and capture a varied and wide spread audience (from honky tonkers to rockers) were quickly recognized by its peers. JMB has taken the stage with Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Justin Moore among many others.Raising the eyebrows of song publishers, SB21 partner and accomplished songwriter Steve Pasch (Lenny Kravitz, Jessica Simpson, Three Crosses, Contraband) recognized lead singer, Martin’s, ability to write a hit; Jacob Martin signed his first publishing deal with SB21 at ASCAP earlier this month.
